Jennifer Bender is a 1995 graduate of Columbus College of Art & Design with a degree in Media Studies. She works in a variety of mediums, including photography, videography, silverpoint, acrylic, oil paint, pen & ink, creative writing and mixed media collage. Jenn is currently working on stereoscopic digital collages, blending the experiences of concocting 360 degree, fish-eye landscapes consisting of 50+ layers, and of creating illustrative collages from image bits hooked while trolling the internet. Building on past experiments, the new goal is to create believable alternate realities in stereoscopic 3D with multiple layers and images. This requires long hours working cross-eyed at the computer, so let's hope the old cautionary "If you cross your eyes they might stay that way" is completely false!
How to view 3D images on your monitor: Lean in 8"-10" away from your computer screen. Cross your eyes very slightly so the two images overlap to create a third in the middle. Relax. Let your eyes adjust. Pick one area from that "middle image" to focus on. Be patient as focus may not come immediately. Move slightly closer or further from the screen if it helps. Once you can maintain focus in one area you can then explore the rest.
